Looking back at the 45th Alaska Folk Festival - Juneau, Alaska

Looking back it's been a great year musically starting with the 45th Alaska Folk Festival in April in Juneau Alaska. Luckily for me I found an awesome guitar player to accompany me, Guy Unzicker. He has participated in the festival for fifteen years, so was a calm and humourous presence. Plus he knew the way from the green room to the stage which I really appreciated. It was a fun packed week and I thank my friends Katie Hendrickson and Jagdish Yellesetty for encouraging me to apply and hosting me.

Jody's Song My Mother's Voice from Mothers Day Podcast

My song "My Mothers Voice," appeared in the Women of Substance Podcast for Mothers Day #957. You can find it at: http://www.WOSPodcast.com.  It will also be included on an upcoming iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/women-of-substance/id939201604?mt=2 also on Stitcher, YouTube, TuneIn, & Spotify.

My Second House Concert

I want to thank Elizabeth Schilling and Ken Thomas for hosting my second house concert. It was a full house, an audience that sang along on the choruses of a number of songs, and an all-around great evening. Also thank you Fred Antaki, my wonderful accompanist, for your lovely playing and Ken for sitting in on four of the songs.

My First House Concert

My first house concert went great. Everyone there bought a CD. Yeah! Thank you, Marti Mariette, for hosting, inviting your wonderful women friends, the great food and the beautiful miniature rose plant.

A Nice Surprise

My jam mate Paul Hein honored me with a request to use the third track from my CD, my song called You Still Look Good to Me, for an audition tape to be sent to several managers to put on the air. Whether anything happens or not, it's nice to be asked.
